New survey shows Nearly half of Britain’s Children, and teenagers have tooth decay
23rd March 2015
According to the children’s dental health survey published by the Health and Social Care Information Centre, 48% of Britain’s children and teenagers suffer with tooth decay.
Inequalities were certainly present, with caries being more prevalent in more deprived children.
We at the Carnaby group of dental practices, here in Central London are dedicated to a regime of prevention, with good oral hygeine accompanied by a balanced diet (as advised by our dentists), and routine check up appointments with our dentists.
With caries being a preventable disease, we feel disappointed with these results, and feel parents and the government have a shared responsibility.
Book an appointment today for a check up and remember children receive a reduced rate of £35 for a check up.
